About

Opened in 2019 atop Shibuya Scramble Square, Shibuya Sky is a three-part observatory: the 14th-floor Sky Gate entrance with a light-and-sound elevator ride, the 46th-floor indoor Sky Gallery, and the 'Sky Stage' roof, a fully open deck with waist-high glass walls. Look straight down onto the Scramble Crossing's tide of pedestrians, then out to Tokyo Tower, Skytree, Shinjuku's towers and, in winter, Mount Fuji. The 'Sky Edge' glass corner is the Instagram spot, the 'Sky Cloud' hammocks are perfect for lying back under the sky, and at night a 'Crossing Light' beam sweeps the clouds. Belongings like hats, bags and phone straps must go into lockers because of wind.
