Le Cinéma was long Bunkamura's in-house arthouse and moved to the former Shibuya TOEI in June 2023 while Bunkamura is closed for redevelopment. Its two screens seat 268 and 187; the 7th-floor screen can project 35mm and 4K. Programming focuses on European and Asian auteur cinema. Metropolis recommends it for niche productions. Foreign films are normally screened in the original language with Japanese subtitles (look for 字幕 on the schedule, not 吹替 = dubbed); Japanese films are usually shown without English subtitles.
