About
Radio is one of Tokyo's most influential bars. Koji Ozaki, now with more than four decades behind the counter, opened it in 1972 and moved to the current space on a side street off Aoyama-dori in the 1980s; the interior of handcrafted wood, glass and brass and the elegant flower arrangements are as celebrated as the drinks. Cocktails are classical and exquisitely made, served with an unhurried, theatrical grace. It is a quiet, adult bar where the counter seats are the prize and conversation stays low, a living link to Japan's bartending golden age.
