mAAch ecute Kanda Manseibashi マーチエキュート神田万世橋
The 1912 red-brick viaduct of a vanished station, reborn as riverside cafes and design shops, with a glass deck where Chuo Line trains pass at arm's length.
About
Manseibashi Station closed in 1943, but its brick arches and original stone stairs remain. JR converted them in 2013 into a calm row of boutiques, a craft-beer bar and cafes opening onto a wooden terrace over the Kanda River. The secret is upstairs: the original 1912 and 1935 staircases lead to '2013 Platform', a glass-walled observation deck built on the old platform, sandwiched between the up and down Chuo Line tracks. Akihabara is five minutes away yet this feels like a different city, a favourite date spot and one of Tokyo's best railway-history curiosities.
