About
Asagaya Shinmeigu enshrines Amaterasu and is linked to legends of Yamato Takeru resting here. A major renovation completed in 2009 added a Shinmei-style hall and gate, a prayer hall and a Noh stage in a wooded precinct of about 3,000 tsubo. It is popular for warding off misfortune and for its limited-edition goshuin and charms.
