About
Said to date from the late Kamakura period, Mabashi Inari was formally enshrined in 1831-32 and absorbed several small village shrines. Its second torii, donated in 1932, has carved rising and descending dragons wrapped around the stone pillars; it is counted among Tokyo's three dragon torii with those at Shinagawa Shrine and Koenji. The tree-lined approach and hall are calm and photogenic.
