About
Kawagoe Castle was a key Tokugawa stronghold north of Edo. Its keep is gone, but part of the Honmaru Goten (inner palace) survives with its large entrance hall, tatami corridors and the family elders' office. Admission is very cheap and combined tickets include the city museum next door.
