Tonbori River Walk とんぼりリバーウォーク
The canal-side promenade right below the Glico sign and Dotonboris neon, running about 1 km along the water with river cruises, street performers and the best low-angle views of the lights.
About
Tonbori River Walk is the boardwalk at water level on both sides of the Dotonbori canal, between Nipponbashi and Daikokubashi bridges. Dropping down from the crowded street above, you walk right along the canal with the Glico Running Man, the Kani Doraku crab and the Don Quijote Ferris wheel lit above you. Tonbori River Cruise boats depart from the walk near the Ferris wheel, and on weekends there are buskers and pop-up events. It is the best way to experience Dotonboris neon at its most dramatic.
Highlights
- Water-level walk under Dotonboris neon signs
