About
Suminoe Park is a neighbourhood favourite in the southwest of Osaka, with open lawns, groves of trees, a playground and sports grounds that fill up on weekends. Its cherry trees make it a relaxed local hanami spot without the crowds of Osaka Castle. The park is at the end of the Yotsubashi Line, so it is also a handy break when transferring to the New Tram toward the Nanko waterfront.
Highlights
- Prefectural park with wide lawns and sports facilities
- Quiet local cherry blossom spot
- Direct access from Suminoe-koen Station
- Handy stop on the way to the Nanko bay area
Tips
- Combine with the New Tram ride to the Nanko waterfront from the same station.
- Bring a picnic: shops inside the park are limited.
