About

The Sorihashi, or taikobashi, is a sharply arched red bridge over a pond at the main approach to Sumiyoshi Taisha. It forms part of the main approach to the National Treasure halls, and it gave its name to a short story by Yasunari Kawabata. Its reflection in the pond makes it one of the most photographed sights in south Osaka.
