About
After the Yamato River was rerouted in 1704, merchants reclaimed new farmland at its mouth, and the Kagaya family ran it from this residence (kaisho). The surviving buildings, tea rooms and a small Japanese garden are a city-designated Historic Site and one of Japan's 100 Historic Parks, rarely visited by tourists.
