Osaka Metro lockers outside the South, Middle-South and Middle-North gates of Midosuji Line Umeda Station, under the JR Osaka Station south side. Mostly small and medium units with a few large ones.

About

Arriving on the Midosuji Line from Shin-Osaka or Namba, you will find locker banks right outside several gates of Umeda Station. The South Gate bank has around 100 small and 20 medium units; the Middle-South Gate has two banks (one with a few large units), and the Middle-North Gate has small, medium and large units. They are outside the gates in the underground concourse that links to JR Osaka, Hankyu and Hanshin. Payment is coins on most units; newer Osaka Metro lockers accept transit IC cards. Large lockers here are few, so if you have a full-size suitcase head up to the JR Osaka South Gate or Sakurabashi Exit banks.

Tips

• Large units are scarce; save time by heading straight to JR Osaka's Sakurabashi side for suitcases
• Lockers by the South Gate are the closest to Whity Umeda underground mall
• Most lockers are cleared after 3 days and the contents go to the station lost-property office, so don't use them for multi-day storage
