About

Matsuba is pure old Umeda: a standing counter where freshly fried skewers are laid on trays and you just help yourself, dipping into the shared sauce and dropping your sticks into a cup. At the end, staff count the sticks to tally your bill. Prices are among the lowest in central Osaka and the beer is cold. It is a perfect quick stop before a train or as the first stop of an Umeda bar crawl.
