About

Gokkei opened in 2011 and pushed Kyoto's love of rich chicken soup to its limit. The signature tori-dakuku is a chicken broth reduced until it is closer to a sauce than a soup, clinging to every noodle; red adds chili, black adds black garlic oil, and the fish and shrimp deluxe versions add seafood. It is a Tabelog Ramen 100 regular with nearly 3,000 reviews and lines of students and tourists outside on the Ichijoji ramen street.
