About
Tadayasu brings serious Edomae sushi to Gion: domestic wild fish bought through Tokyos market, aged to build umami, and two different vinegared rices chosen to suit each topping. It held a Michelin star from 2019 to 2021 and appears regularly in Tabelogs Sushi WEST 100. The counter seats 12 and the seasonal sake list is well chosen. Lunch is roughly half the dinner price and is the best introduction; dinner adds more otsumami and a longer run of nigiri.
