About

The Horikawa canal behind the Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum is the definitive image of Fushimi, Kyoto's historic sake-brewing town. Stand on the footpath near the Jikkokubune boat landing and shoot along the water: whitewashed kura storehouses, weeping willows and in spring the cherry blossom are reflected on calm mornings. The traditional boats run seasonally and make a good moving subject from the bank.
