About
A family-run camera shop founded in 1933, just south-west of Kamo-Ohashi bridge by the Demachi shopping street; look for the yellow awning. It keeps analogue film in stock, accepts film and disposable cameras for developing and printing, and passes camera repairs to trusted repairers. A 2023 local magazine profile describes film cameras among the cameras on display in the shop.
Highlights
- Founded 1933, run by the third generation of the family
- Analogue film always in stock
- Film and disposable-camera developing, scans to data
- Repair drop-off for old cameras
Tips
- Look for the yellow awning on Imadegawa-dori just west of Kawaramachi
- Combine with a walk along the Kamo River delta and Demachi shopping street
