About
Jodoji's Jododo is one of the few surviving buildings in the Daibutsu-yo style also used for Todai-ji's rebuilding. Inside, a 5.3 m Amida Buddha by the sculptor Kaikei stands with two attendants, and on sunny late afternoons the light through the west lattice turns the hall golden-red. It is a quiet countryside temple in northern Harima.
