About

Kijima Kogen Park sits at about 700 m on the plateau along the Beppu-Yufuin road, so summers are cool and the rides come with mountain views. The headline is Jupiter, opened in 1992 as Japan's first wooden coaster: rattly, fast and loved by coaster fans. Around 30 rides range from a 'Poseidon 30' water drop to kiddie rides and the TOMISHIRO NGA ZONE game-style attraction, and there are frequent anime and game collaborations. In winter part of the park becomes an ice-skating rink. Hotels and a golf course adjoin.
