Osanbashi Pier 横浜港大さん橋国際客船ターミナル
Yokohamas cruise terminal with a free, rolling wooden rooftop that feels like a ships deck, giving the best 360-degree views of the Minato Mirai skyline and the Bay Bridge.
About
Osanbashi Pier has been Yokohamas main passenger pier since the 1890s. The current terminal, completed in 2002 by Foreign Office Architects, is an architectural landmark: a long, undulating structure of timber decking and grass with no columns or stairs, so the roof becomes a free public park open around the clock. From the "Whales Back" rooftop you get the classic Minato Mirai view with the Cosmo Clock Ferris wheel and Landmark Tower, plus the Bay Bridge and Red Brick Warehouse. Giant cruise ships dock alongside on many days.
