About

Zou-no-hana ("elephants trunk") Park takes its name from the curving breakwater built in the 1860s, which looks like an elephants trunk on old maps. This is where the Port of Yokohama started in 1859, and the park opened for the ports 150th anniversary in 2009. It is a sleek, open plaza of lawns and decks with lighting panels that glow at night, a small cafe and arts space (Zou-no-hana Terrace), and unbeatable views of the Minato Mirai skyline and Osanbashi Pier. It links Yamashita Park and the Red Brick Warehouse, making it a natural stop on a harbour walk.
