HALE is a long-running Shonan surf school based a short walk from Koshigoe and Enoshima. Trial lessons include board and wetsuit, start with land practice and need no ocean experience, and multi-lesson beginner, step-up and intermediate courses follow. The gentle beach breaks of Shonan make it a common first surf stop for Tokyo day-trippers.
