Head to the central crossroads of Italia-gai in Higashi-Shimbashi 2-chome and shoot along the cobbled streets: pastel facades, arched arcades, wrought-iron lamps and a small piazza make it look surprisingly like a European town. Morning and early evening, when the street lamps come on, are the most atmospheric, and weekends bring cosplayers and wedding photographers. The skyscrapers of Shiodome poke up behind some angles, so choose a low angle or a tight frame for the illusion. The buildings are offices and homes, so keep doorways clear, and commercial shoots may need permission.
