About

Stand on the East Exit plaza or the pavement across Yasukuni-dori junction near the Cross Shinjuku building and look up at the curved corner screen: at intervals a huge calico cat appears to peer out, stretch and nap in convincing 3D, mixed in with ads. The illusion works best from the plaza in front of the station exit, directly facing the corner, so the curve of the screen lines up. Evening adds neon around it. Stay on the pavement, keep clear of the station exit flow, and be aware the cat appears between other content, so be patient.
