Rock Fish ロックフィッシュ
Ginza highball shrine where Kakubin whisky and glasses are kept in the freezer and mixed ice-free with Wilkinson soda, served to a cheerful after-work crowd from 15:00.
About
Rock Fish is a small second-floor bar that made the 'ice-free highball' famous. The owner chills whisky (Suntory Kakubin is the classic) and glasses in the freezer, then tops a 60ml pour with Wilkinson soda and a twist of lemon, giving an intensely crisp, fizzy drink. Snacks run to tinned fish and a spicy hot dog. It opens mid-afternoon, so it fills with salarymen at 17:00. Menus are in Japanese, so point at 'Kaku highball'.
