About
Ponchiken was opened by a chef from Western-style yoshoku cooking who set out to perfect tonkatsu, using custom breadcrumbs and carefully chosen pork. The cutlets are tender and pink-centred, closer to roast pork than many rivals, and the menu also offers beef katsu, croquettes and pork shabu-shabu. Since January 2025 it opens on Wednesdays too.
