About
Mitsui is a tiny counter a few minutes from Tawaramachi and the Tsukuba Express Asakusa station that shot onto Tabelogs Ramen 100 list. The shoyu soup blends chicken and seafood into something round and mellow, and the hand-kneaded medium-thick noodles are the star, with a crunch of lotus root among the toppings. Its house-sauce katsudon has its own fans. With only seven seats the shop uses a ticket system to assign waiting spots, and it takes cashless prepayment. Sundays are lunch only.
