About
Opened in 2019 for the shrine's centenary, the museum shows treasures associated with Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken, including a Meiji-era imperial horse-drawn carriage, plus rotating special exhibitions. The low building by Kengo Kuma uses wood and glass to blend into the forest along the main approach.
