About

Koganei Park is one of Tokyo's largest metropolitan parks, laid out along the Tamagawa Josui aqueduct in the western suburbs. Its Cherry Garden holds around 400 of the park's roughly 1,400 cherry trees of about 50 varieties, so blossoms last for weeks. Outside hanami season it is a relaxed place of open fields, woodland, a turf sledding hill for children and a display steam locomotive.
