About
Kishidaya began in 1900 as a sweet red-bean soup shop and became an izakaya in 1966. Guests sit around a U-shaped counter for beef nikomi stew, potato salad and other simple dishes with beer or sake. It does not take reservations, and a line forms before opening, so the first seating fills at once.
