About

Keio Mogusaen began as the grounds of a temple in the Kyoho era and is now run by Keio railway as a traditional garden on a steep wooded slope. Around 500 plum trees, including an old tree said to date from the garden's founding, bloom from February, and maples turn red in late autumn. From the hilltop pavilion you can look out over Fuchu toward central Tokyo.
