About

Janu Tokyo opened in March 2024 as the first hotel of Aman's more social Janu brand. It anchors Azabudai Hills, Mori Building's new district of rounded, planted towers by Pelli Clarke & Partners and Heatherwick Studio. The hotel occupies the lower floors of one of the towers and opens onto the central garden. The interiors by Denniston, the studio of Jean-Michel Gathy, are warmer and more theatrical than Aman's: deep timber, textured stone, low lighting and big windows onto the greenery. The 4,000 m² Janu Spa is one of the largest hotel wellness spaces in Tokyo, with a 25 m pool, a gym and spa suites. For visitors, the draw is the dining strip around the garden, including a grill, Japanese, Cantonese and Italian restaurants, and the Janu Lounge and Garden Terrace, where an often art-themed afternoon tea is served. It pairs well with teamLab Borderless and the Azabudai Hills Gallery a few steps away.
