About
Founded in 1063 as Imado Hachiman and renamed after merging with a Hakusan shrine in 1937, Imado Shrine is today best known as a place to pray for good relationships, and it holds regular matchmaking events. Paired maneki-neko figures and cat-themed ema plaques fill the grounds. It enshrines Fukurokuju for the Asakusa Seven Lucky Gods pilgrimage.
