Run by the Tokyo Theatres group, this cinema occupies the upper floors of the Cocoti building near Miyashita Park. Time Out Tokyo notes that foreign films given only a limited Tokyo release tend to end up here, and Metropolis highlights its mix of new releases, independent favourites and classic retrospectives. Foreign films are normally screened in the original language with Japanese subtitles (look for 字幕 on the schedule, not 吹替 = dubbed); Japanese films are usually shown without English subtitles.
