About

Hakuhinkan started life in 1899 as a bazaar-style emporium and is now one of Japan's biggest toy shops, right on Chuo-dori at the Shimbashi end of Ginza. B1 to 4F are packed with toys: character plush, Sanrio, Japanese novelty and party goods, wooden puzzles, model kits and quirky Japanese gadgets on the lower floors, with a 4F slot-car circuit where you can rent a car and controller and race. Upper floors hold restaurants and the Hakuhinkan Theatre. Less of a crowd magnet than Kiddy Land, which makes it easy to browse with kids.
