Tamachi's lockers are all inside the gates: a big bank deep inside the South Gate (about 63, 13 large) and another by the North Gate (28, 7 large). There are none outside the JR gates, but Toei Mita Station across the road has some.

About

Unusually, Tamachi has no JR lockers outside the ticket gates. Inside the South Gate, walk to the back to find a long bank of about 27 small, 23 medium and 13 large lockers. The large ones are round the corner, so don't give up at first glance. The North Gate has a bank just inside on the left with 8 small, 13 medium and 7 large. Both take IC cards and cash and are open from first to last train. If you aren't riding JR, Mita Station (Toei Asakusa and Mita lines) across the street has lockers near its station office and its A1-A7 gate, and a private bank sits beside the Amita building by the West Exit.

Tips

• The lockers are only inside the gates, so tap in first or use Mita Station's Toei lockers
• JR East lockers roll over to a new day at 2:00 am and can be used for up to 3 days; after that, bags go to the station's lost-property office
• Takanawa Gateway, one stop south, also has inside-gate lockers
