Sushi Mikata 鮨 三か田
Michelin Bib Gourmand standing sushi bar in Mita, opened 2023: seven standing spots, generous nigiri by the piece, omakase from about 6,600 yen and a much-loved tamagoyaki.
Typical spend with drinks: ¥9,000
About
Sushi Mikata's chef was inspired by a standing sushi bar he visited with his father as a boy, and wanted a place where people could drop in casually. Guests stand at a seven-place counter and can order one piece at a time or take the omakase; both fish and rice portions are generous. He runs the place with his wife, whose rolled omelette is a hit, and their good-humoured banter keeps the mood light. Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2025 and 2026.
