About

Shibata built its reputation in Sengawa with a light but intensely savoury chuka soba: a clear soup of chicken and dashi seasoned with a deep shoyu tare and served with thin, fragrant noodles. In 2024 it moved to a new shop a minute from Komae station on the Odakyu Line, keeping the same style and the same queues. It is one of the top-rated shoyu shops in western Tokyo and a fixture on Tabelogs Ramen 100 list.

Tips

Closed Sundays and the 3rd Monday.
Weekday lunch at opening is the easiest window.
