AKIBA_INFO. sits on the second floor of Akihabara UDX, four minutes from the JR Denkigai ticket gate, and is the most useful place to make sense of Akihabara's maze of electronics, anime, retro-game and hobby shops. It publishes its own Akihabara maps in several languages, and staff (Japanese, English, Chinese) can point you to specific stores for figures, used games, PC parts or capsule toys, and explain the maid-cafe scene. It offers free Wi-Fi and PCs, dining information and baggage deposit or delivery. Opening hours are limited, from 11:00 to 17:30, and it closes on Mondays and the day after a national holiday.
