About
Odani Castle on Mt Odani was the stronghold of Azai Nagamasa and his wife Oichi, Oda Nobunaga's sister, until Nobunaga destroyed it in 1573. Stone walls and terraced baileys remain along the ridge; the Odani Castle Sengoku History Museum at the foot explains the site. One of the 100 Fine Castles of Japan.
