About
Kaizu Osaki juts into the north of Lake Biwa. Its Somei-yoshino cherry trees, many over 80 years old, form a tunnel of blossom along the shore road in early to mid April, later than most of the Kansai region. Cruise boats offer views of the blossoms from the water with Chikubu Island in the distance.
