About
Built in 1963 on the site of the former Hosokawa residence, the cathedral is fronted by statues of Hosokawa Gracia and Takayama Ukon, two famous Christians of the late 16th century. Frame the statues against the tall facade from the forecourt; inside, a large mural by the painter Domoto Insho and the stained glass glow in afternoon light. It is an unexpected and quiet subject a short walk from Tamatsukuri Station.
