About
Senkoji uses humour to teach Buddhist ideas: after a quiz on whether you are bound for paradise or hell, you enter the Hell Hall where King Enma waits. Below ground, the Hotoke no Kuni space surrounds a stained-glass mandala with 151 stone Buddhas representing the 88 Shikoku pilgrimage temples. The temple also runs a small old-fashioned sweet shop and a toy museum.
