About

Nagai Botanical Garden, opened in 1974, sits inside Nagai Park alongside the stadium and the Museum of Natural History. Its gardens are arranged by season and plant type around a large central pond, with camellias and plum in winter, cherries, peonies and roses in spring, about 10,000 hydrangeas in June, lotus in summer and dahlias and autumn colour later. A forest zone recreates the vegetation of the Osaka region through time. After dark, teamLab Botanical Garden Osaka turns the gardens into an interactive light installation, with a separate ticket. A combined ticket with the Natural History Museum gives good value.
