About
Ramen Kasumi opened in 2012 near Awaza and Utsubo Park and specialises in niboshi (dried sardine) ramen, a bold, slightly bitter, deeply savoury style rarer in Osaka than in Tokyo or Aomori. It won a "best next-generation ramen" title at the Ramen Championship and has a cup-noodle collaboration. The menu also covers niboshi maze-soba, miso ramen and a curry maze-soba. There is a Nakazakicho branch and a sister shop, Chuka Soba Nisei, nearby. Breakfast service runs on Thursday and Friday.
