About

Designed by Isoya Yoshida, the Main Lounge of the Rihga Royal is one of the great mid-century hotel interiors in Japan: a vast, low room of lacquered columns and gold-hued lanterns facing a glass wall onto a man-made waterfall garden. The hotel hosted state guests for decades and still has the old-world charm of attentive staff and classic restaurants. It's a quiet base on the west of Nakanoshima, with free shuttle buses to Osaka Station.
