About
When the Osaka Securities Exchange was rebuilt in 2004, the original 1935 oval entrance hall and its stately curved facade were preserved and wrapped by a modern tower. Stand across Sakaisuji or at the Kitahama corner to frame the rounded stone facade with the bronze statue of Godai Tomoatsu, the Meiji-era businessman who helped found the exchange. The surrounding Kitahama district has other early 20th century buildings and riverside terraces.
