About

Kinryu has served ramen on Dotonbori since the early 1980s and its writhing green dragon sign is one of the street's landmarks. There are only two choices, ramen or chashu-men, bought from a ticket machine, served in a light tonkotsu broth. The fun is in the free toppings you add yourself: spicy kimchi, crushed garlic, garlic chives and rice. You eat on a raised tatami platform open to the street, watching Dotonbori roll by. Not the best ramen in Osaka, but a classic experience.
