About
Dotonbori runs along the Dotonbori canal between Midosuji and Sakaisuji and has been an entertainment district since the Edo period, when theatres lined the street. Today it is a dense strip of restaurants, takoyaki stands and oversized signs, from the Glico Running Man to mechanical crabs and pufferfish. The riverside walkway below street level is quieter and good for photos.
