About
The Ikeda clan ruled this area from the Muromachi to the Sengoku period, and their castle site was landscaped as a park that opened in 2000. A turret-style observation rest house looks over Ikeda's streets, the Big Harp cable-stayed bridge and the Osaka plain. The park has lawns used for events and a small shop, and volunteer guides are on hand on weekends and holidays.
